A kind of seagull flying near Governador Celso Ramos, Santa Catarina state, southern Brazil. This guy was flying nearby and I caught him with a 18-55mm.
"Larus argentatus" is probably its cientific name.

Zeca |

Hi Jose
A somewhat interesting capture and due to an unfortunate soft lighting condition resulted with some nits, but also some positives. I like the backlight streaming through the feathers of the outstretched wings and unfortunately this same advantage also created a slight disadvantage due to the slight OE on the bird's head and on the leading edge of the right wing. The backlight also meant that the front area of the bird is slightly dark thus causing some details to disappear. Anyway I like the bird in flight over the water and with the mountain and ominous clouds in the BG.
Good effort with the short lens and TFS.

Hi Jose,
I like the perspective of the gull a nice open wing shot. Good timing on the photo,

Matt.
Super close-up of this powerful bird. Very sharp and fine natural colours.
Best wishes,
Achim

Hello Zeca,
Good in-flight capture!
The backlight outlining the bird is a fine artistic touch...
Pleasant composition, where the subject is well placed in the frame!
