[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is a Capivara, or Capybara in english (Hydrochaeris hydrochaeris). Last weekend I woke up very early and went to one of the Parks of Curitiba, where I live in Brazil. Looking for birds I faced a herd of capybaras looking peacefully to sunrise. I could go very close and almost touch them. There is no crop in this picture. Next I will post a baby one. What a good portrait of this capybara!
I like so much your interpretation of this rodent's picture, with this profile view of it.

Bonita capibara o carpincho (aunque en Venezuela les llaman "chigüires"). Me encanta el contraluz que destaca los pelos de la silueta sobre ese fondo discreto y neutro, pero sin ocultar los detalles de la cara oscura: perfecto brillo en los ojos y muy bien las texturas del pelaje.

Hi Fabiano, these look like such interesting animals. Someday I'll need to go to the zoo to see one. It's not likely I'll see one wild real soon. This is an excellent close shot of this guy. The sun behind him really shows the detail well, and I love that eye.
