[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Hello
Today I want to present the picture of the Masked Booby (latin: Sula dactylatra, family Sulidae). Thanks to cuckooroller for determination.

Some data about the species:
- lenght 81 - 91 cm
- wingspan 152 cm
- breeding in small colonies on islands in tropical oceans
- they feed on small fishes including flying fishes
- they are very well divers.
(data from wikipedia).

The picture was taken during our 40 days cruise from King George Island (West Antarctic) to Poland. As I don't know the exact place when we were on 26th of April I put the name of the most possible location, that we were close to.

What concerns the post processing of the picture it was cropping, changing levels and sharpening.
I have changed picture according to Radek (cicindela) critique i.e. cropped in different way (to have more sky in upper left corner) and changed levels to have brighter image.
What do you think about it now?

Milo mi bardzo, ze zachecona moim komentarzem postanowilas powalczyc ze zdjeciem raz jeszcze. Musze przyznac, ze teraz podoba mi sie ono zdecydowanie bardziej! :) Co prawda nie mam teraz mozliwosci porownania kolorystyki tej fotki z wersja pierwotna, ale wydaje sie bardziej konrastowa, a juz na pewno kompozycyjnie o wiele, wiele lepiej :)

You bring the lovely photo of the big bird,the Masked Booby.
I think its very fine to post on TN and love this POV, but it's still a little bit dark I think. :-)

Piekne zdjecie. Wyobrazam sobie tego ptaka na zywo, po kilku miesiacach spedzonych na morzu :-) Bardzo ladna, klarowna kompozycja, podoba mi sie tez wydluzony format zdjecia.

Hello Ania,
Great in-flight capture of a Masked Booby, a pretty rare species of Gannet.
Excellent sharpness, details, POV and composition: it may just be slightly UE, but that is a small point in what is a fine shot.

Wspaniały egzotyzcny okaz w bardzo ładnym kadrze. Ciekaw jestem czy dużo takich ptaków można spotkac w brazylii? Wygląda bardzo efektownie
