Minha boa ação de hoje foi salvar este pequenino pássaro, que não sei identificar.
Por isso ele simboliza meus votos a todos do TN de Feliz Natal, etc. etc.

Hello Raimundo and Merry Christmas
You have a big heart Raimundo. I hope this little bird will be okay. Good for you trying to care for him. Since it is summer where you are there will be young birds all over the place. Thanks for showing this unique little bird.

Hi Raimundo,

Merry Christmas! I got your e-mail, and had already seen this little cutie. Commenting now to bookmark it and hope to have a look in the next couple of days so as to determine the ID.

EDIT: Finally had a bit of time to look at it. Tolmomyias sp. for me. Three possible for the genus in this location. (1) Tolmomyias flaviventris; (2) Tolmomyias poliocephalus; and (3) Tolmomyias sulphurescens. The first (flaviventris) easily eliminated because it does not have grey on the head. In my judgment, this is T. sulphurescens because the grey on the head is of a lighter tone, and because the green on the dorsum is of a lighter tone than I would expect for the poliocephalus. So, for me, Tolmomyias sulphurescens (Yellow-olive Flycatcher).

Hallo Raimundo
Although I know Christmas has come and gone by but being a new member to Trek Nature I browse as much as possible if time permits. I think at this stage my eyes are working overtime to search for anything that will grab my attention, and I think by end of the week I’ll be squint-eyed. It is quite a difficult task. There are just so many talented photographers on the site and they all have such spectacular portfolios. I picked up this “Merry Christmas” photo of yours with the little yellow coloured bird. Upon going through the thumbnails it looked as if this poor thing was sitting in the snow, and I felt very sorry for him. Opening the thumbnail I realised it was not snow but the sorrow feeling remained within me. It looks so lonely and helpless. It is such a dainty and shy looking bird. Thanks for sharing.
Kind regards
Anna
