Your S. American archives seem endless and I'm glad that you can keep coming up with a fine portrait of a new species of bird, like this Golden-chevroned Tanager.
A nice close, well-composed portrait from an excellent POV with fine sharpness and light management against a blue sky.

A great capture of this Golden-breasted Tanager. A lovely close-up approach, showing clear and sharp details on the plumage and eye. A truly sensational and beautiful bird. Great in sharpness, lighting, and focus. Framing is applied in a most favourable manner. A superb shot with a precious and soft on the eye composition. The light blue background brings out the detail of the bird to a great extent. Thanks for sharing.

It is amongst aviaries, a wonderful colour of blue you have captured here Peter. And yes I do see the golden chevron! It does indeed stick out in your image as it does in identification notes...nice that the Creator did such a marvelous work...in most case..cannot speak for my own two footed humanoid however..

I'm so glad you posted this Brazilian Tanager from your archives! The blue of the bird is magnificent. The colors of his wings make him a real fashionplate. Wonderful details of the face and plummage. You captured this beauty in a lovely pose. I like the composition very much.

"Summer Tanager" here, but haven't seen the red adult yet..
