The most fearsome insect for the children...
But who took a bite knows that it is not pleasant.
This hornet caught to a strelitzia it is this "terrible" insect...
I find a good macro, but it would like your opinion.

" Zool. Designation common to the insects himenópteros, vespídeos, characterized for they have the previous wings, when in rest, longitudinally bent, the first cell very long discoidal, three cells cubitais, and simple claws. The common name extend to the vespídeos in general, including other families, among them the pompilídeos or hornet-hunters and the eumenídeos, of bitten claws."

wow, jose, really a "terrible" insect,
even i would fear it.
the macro is really good but it
lacks a bit of overall sharpness.
the big blurry yellow parts of the strelitzia
disturb the view and distract from the hornet
which lower body parts are not fully clear either.

Great capture Jose. The dof is spot on leaving a lot of details in the hornet. Colours look very natural and the composition is great. Only nit - the picture is a little dark in my opinion.
