Hello José Roberto,
An excellent macro of this Saturniid moth (A. egeus) caterpillar, caught from a fine POV with superb sharpness and good use of flash.
It would be interesting to see the adult moth.
TFS this fine macro,
Regards, Ivan

Honestly it looks "creepy"...as though it is something only Hollywood could dream up but in 6 foot size and a carnivore:-) Very neat capture of something I have never seen before and ore than likely will never see again..so I had better bookmark this page!

Hi Jose,
A nice capture of this beautiful caterpillar. Very well composed with sharp details. Thanks a lot for sharing.

Wow! Great shot! The black bg makes the catterpillar stand out, and the sharply focussed subject makes this an awesome shot.

Hi Jose,
you started a fine collection of high quality macros on TN, welcome aboard! What adds to the quality of the pictures is the fact that you add an ID. That way the pictures can be retrieved with Google. The composition of the image is excellent, the pose of the caterpillar also. The dark background lets all the dedails stand out. Well done, José.
Best regards
Dietrich

Hi Jose

A very beautiful shot of this realy impressive caterpillar - Automeris egeus.
The spines on its body are truly amazing and the natural colors and contrast it presents are very attractive.
Very good shot in technical terms, with a spot-on DOF and great flash work.

Bravo and TFS

Hola Jose Roberto!
Another great capture, but this time a Lepidoptera larva. This caterpillar looks really great, its spines are fantastic. It is interesting how the adult looks like :)
All the best from Poland!
