[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I was spent my time in my family's farm at Juiz de Fora, when I saw this insect.
To me, this butterfly is different, because you can see through its wing.
The distance is about 20 cm - 30cm.

Have you already see an Butterfly like that?

Hi Fabio! Lovely picture of this glasswing or clearwing butterfly (Greta oto). I saw some when I was in Costa Rica. They are sooo cool. I couldn't believe that you could actually see right through the wings. Great job with the exposure and composition. TFS. : )

Beautiful butterfly.
I like this composition.
Good colours and DOF.
Well done Fabio.

Hi Fabio

I love the Glasswings. We have a Butterfly House in Auckland, but when I visited they didn't have any Glasswings even though they advertsied having them. That was rather disappointing as I have never seen one in the 'flesh'. You have nailed this one really well. Excellent POV, good BG and colour. Nice work. Thanks.

Hi Fabio. This is a lovely shot, great DOF and composition. What a beauty :)

They certainly are an interesting genus. Quite a good shot though it looks like you may have sharpened it a bit to much with your post-processing.

Superbe photo, je n'avais encore jamais vue de papillons avec les ailes transparentes.
Bravo, très réussi.
Nico.

Espetacular...
Muito bom DOF e POV. E Linda transparencia.

Fabio,

ótima essa foto, parabéns !!

abraço,
Luciano.

I just love these Glasswing butterfly's wings. I have never seen this in the wild and would love to do so. You did a great job in capturing the wings and the colors.

Very well done and thanks for posting

This is a very beautiful butterfly, but the Neat Image took all it's beauty away, it took all the details away from the butterfly and made the texture so clean, now the picture look like a painting and not like a photo...
But this is a good amcro shot, the butterfly is well placed in the photo and the BG is great and the colros are fantstic!

WellDone

I have only seen them on this website..... Very amazing. Delicate!!!
