Guaxe (Cacicus haemorrhous) is a bird also knowed as "Japira" in Brazil. He is a very good singer!
This bird can be found also in Argentina, Bolívia, Colombia, Equador, French Guiana, Guiana, Paraguai, Peru, Suriname and Venezuela.
It's natural habitats are subtropical forests or humid tropical forests of low altitude, subtropical or tropical swamps.
This one was captured in the Guaratuba Bay's region. The contrast of red and black is beautiful, but very difficult to capture since the red is in their backs and under their wings. I am lucky to have this one showing a little bit of his beauty.
