[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is a picture of a toucan taken at the Bird Park (Parque das Aves) in Foz do Iguacu in Brazil.

The Bird Park has more than 900 birds of 150 species. The majority of them are Brazilian birds. A third of these species are endangered. All birds seen in the Park originate from zoos, breeders authorized by IBAMA or rehabilitation centres. The Bird Park does not accept birds of unknown origin. All animals are registered and an annual report is given to the Brazilian Zoological Society and IBAMA.
Some of the birds are rehabilitated but cannot be returned to nature.

Personally for any lover of birds and photographer this park deserve a visit because of the amount of possibilities to capture on film a lot of different colorful species flying around you in the large walkthrough aviaries.

I wish my visit would have been longer in the park but I only had less than an hour to visit it before closing.

I did play with this toucan and actually put my hand in his beak... that was a thrill !!!

I only sharpened, give more light and softened the BG with NeatImage for posting.

These are amazing birds. The colors are eye popping. I love their eyes. I bet it is hard to do much preening with that giant beak.
