[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I guess this is the black-and-white-seedeater (Sporophila luctuosa). But I'm not that sure about it.

In Portuguese, we call it "papa-capim" (something like "grass-eater").

Shooting these birds is not an easy task. Firstly, because they're very small - something like 6 centimeters; secondly, because they don't stand still at all; thirdly, because they really fear the human presence. The afternoon was really scorching when I took the photo. Nearby, there were some muddy waters, where some birds were taking a bath. Bravo pour la lumiére dans cette prise et l'éclat des couleurs.La netteté de l'image est parfaite et l'oiseau est très interessant. J'aime le bec bleu pâle de l'oiseau et les couleurs du plumage.

I love the oreange BG. I've noticed it on several photos of yours. I assume that's the earth colour over there.

Hello Livio, that´s a very nice capture. Excellent colours and very good sharp details. Composition and POV/DoF are great also. Very well done

You always manage to get an interesting background to your shots Livio, not an easy task.
You did well, the head and body are in focus and the blur in the wings infers motion, which is good. Nice contrasting image.

Outro que não tenho visto muito(s)... tô achando que tenho de adquirir uma tele de 10.000mm prá tirar fotos de pássaros... ou virar estátua... assim pelo menos as pombas virão... He... He...

Hi Livio,
Not luctuosa. This is Sporophila nigricollis - a male bird. In Brazil luctuosa ranges only in the extreme southwest, not in Minas.
