Hi Jose
This capture is good evidence of the fact that lightning strike from the bottom upwards. Although that is not what the eye perceive.
Great composition and lovely colours. I like the fact that you have included the miniature wave with the beach in the foreground. That gives tremendous depth to the photo. The rock formation breaks the 'monotony' of the flat ocean and that purple haze is just super.

This is an amazing photograph. I agree with Loot's comments. The purple makes for a beautiful image, though seems unnatural to me.

Zeca - I really love this picture. Purple is one of my favorite colors, and I love the tones of purple you captured in this photo. The island that's off center in the photo also adds a lot -- without it, the photo would be too plain. Good lighting, nice color, very beautiful shot!

I am fascinated by lightening, and terrified too! In my childhood in the Himalayas, we too used to experience lightening and thunder during spring and run scared when that happened.
I love the colours in this beautiful shot.
