Very well done with this capture. As you say these are lively insects and it is difficult to get one sitting still for a shot. You've actually displayed this one in a very interresting POV seldom seen. These butterfly shots are mostly taken in such a way that one does not see the complete body.
The colours are great and the details are sharp and clear. The exposure was also spot-on. TFS.

Beautiful pose and POV. Very good colours and detail. Just the tip of the front wing that's a little blurred but it doesn't effect the photo. Perfect DOF and background and very well composed.

I love the pose of this butterfly, Livio. It is rather unusual.
The body is curved in a downward arc, while the shape of the wings give then an upward arc. Good balance between the two.
Fantastic POV and excellent sharpness and light. TFS. : )

This is a very good capture.
I tried to get one of these when I was in the Dom republic and they are very difficult to get as they dont settle for long and they beat their wings almost as fast as a hummingbird!.
As for the ID,I never found out I'm afraid.
Very good composition and POV,nice detail and very good DOF.
Great shot.

Hola livio.

Excelente captura , buenos colores y composicion, y si es una mariposa algo dificil de fotografiar aunque cuando descansa o duerme se le puede fotografiar con cierta facilidad.
esta mariposa es una Heraclides Anchisiades , la cual tengo en mi galeria tanto con con alas abiertas como cerradas asi como tambien la oruga, te invito a ver esas 3 fotografias las cuales tengo documentadas, quizas te sirva de algo mis pequeñas notas.
