[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I found this Lichens at night in an old trunk. I was amazed by its beauty, such a small group of life, but rich in details. I realized how these organisms can have amazing diversity of forms and colors. I think it seems like a submarine photo. The flash light, that I usually dislike, played a nice role in this time.

Something about it:

Lichens are composite, symbiotic organisms made up from members of as many as three kingdoms.

The dominant partner is a fungus. Fungi are incapable of making their own food. They usually provide for themselves as parasites or decomposers.

"Lichens are fungi that have discovered agriculture"-- lichenologist Trevor Goward.

The lichen fungi (kingdom Fungi) cultivate partners that manufacture food by photosynthesis. Sometimes the partners are algae (kingdom Protista), other times cyanobacteria (kingdom Monera), formerly called blue-green algae. Some enterprising fungi exploit both at once.

Olá Fabiano! A volta noturna está rendendo...graças à você, irrequieto companheiro daquela noite. Aqui com os líquens e, lá no meu pedaço, até aqui com a teia e o bicho da couve, que já é até favorita. Espero que logo possamos repetir!
Este tronco esta impressionatemente repleto de liquens! Achei o contraste um pouco duro aqui, muito provavelmente pela luz do flash. As duas folhinhas um pouco OE dá para melhorar, fiz um worshop tentando.

Boa composição Fabiano,
o uso do flash limitou a cena escolhida no primeiro plano, o que ficou muito bom.
