The sagüis are lesser the monkeys that exist, its never preênsil long tail, the head longer than wide, long nails with the form of claws (except the one of the thumb) and for the presence of 32 teeth, being eight incisors, four tooths, twelve daily pay-molar and eight molar ones. They live in the forests of the South America and Central America, they are found since the Zone of the Canal, in Panama, until the State of the Paraná, but they do not occur in the Venezuela and certain areas of Colombia and Guianas. The great centers of distribution of the species are the Amazonian forest and the Atlantic forest. Few species exist in the open pasture of Central Brazil. Sagui common if distinguishes from the others 8 species of the Callithrix sort for its fragile body and the two tufos of for the white that has in each ear. It lives in the dense forests of the Amazônia. The great bandos of sagüis dangerously are organized in accordance with a hierarchy, and this is demonstrated of some forms. One sagui demonstrates its superiority in relation to another one turning the back one to it. This differs curiously from inhabits it of some African monkeys, between which this gesture indicates submission.
