This beautiful bird is a Saffron Toucanet (Baillonius bailloni). This species is found in the south Atlantic forests of eastern Paraguay, southestern Brazil, and northeastern Argentina.
I took this shot at the Belo Horionte zoo. Although i donīt care to much or zoos I never got a chance to go into the wild like I had hoped. |

Hi Adam, a zoo is the next best thing to the real place where these birds come from.
What a beautiful fellow, and now that Paul / AnimalExplorer has told you what it is, you must change your notes.
I love his breast feathers and that wgreat beak. The colours and lighting are good too. TFS / Thanks for sharing
