Embalse El Yeso is a reservoir located in the Andes, in the Santiago Metropolitan Region, Chile. It is formed by the damming of Yeso River, part of Maipo River basin. The reservoir has a capacity of 250,000,000 m³.[3]

El Yeso reservoir, along with the nearby Laguna Negra, are a major source of drinking water for Santiago.

Its turquoise waters are suitable for fishing and windsurfing.

The picture was taken around 10:00 pm. The sky was without clouds and with a beatiful moon, as you can see.

I hope you all like it, and thanks for your comments.

Hi Carlos,
very nice night shot, perfect sharpness, excellent moon reflection on water, beautifull mountains... very romantic.. only things which disturb the composition are the red rock in low corner and other, I think part of plants in front. I will try to clear them out in my workshop.
cheers
Adrian

Wow, what a unique shot! The moon was obviously very bright, I love how it has lightened up the mountains in the back. It looks like there is a rock poking up into the foreground that is a little distracting, but i'm sure you tried your best to leave it out of the shot, very Well done!

This is wonderful!! I absolutly love the moon at night! I have added this photo to my favorites, because I really love going to the mountains with the full moon. The light is very good in this one! Very nicely done, and a Big Welcome to TrekNature! Thanks for sharing. Cheers Josh Lewis.
