This is one of the world's smallest gimnosperms. It grows in high altitudes, forming cushions to protect itself from the cold.
In asia, a similar plant is used to extract ephedrine, a substance similar to caffeine in that it speeds up the metabolism. However, this plant does not contain ephedrine. It does however contain a substance that helps victims of altitude sickness.

excelente foto, do ponto de vista de composição, cores e nitidês no primeiro plano.
embora centralizada você conseguiu um otimo ângulo de tomada.
Creio que você poderia explorar um pouco mais a foto (esta ou outra, macro, que você faça), uma vez que a flor, que não sei se já está aberta, tem uma enorme semelhança com lábios de mulher.
