This beetle (Astylus trifasciatus) belongs to the Order Coleoptera and to the family Dasytidae. Is one of the biggest representative of his family reaching the impressive size of 2 cm :o)
This beetle lives in the central zone of my long and narrow country (Chile), and if suddenly it appears flying in my garden is because the spring is begining... is the first signal. A friend with such a good news is always wellcome at home. |
