These birds nest in huge colonies upon a single tree, killing the tree with their feces and making one hell of a noise. The smell around the tree is impressive, and so is the sound they make.
They're found all along the South American coast, and their flight is very active, with lots of flapping and their neck straight out.
This particular one was shot in a fishing dock, where they hang out waiting for scraps. |
