Fascinating....I have always appreciated the added colour of blue, in snow and ice at times depending. It is a quality which some try to capture, then PP it to a more white, which really isn't the spectrum wave which the eye sees..I believe the bluish tinge is a purposeful addition by the Creator of all things and recognized by us not only in colour but in mood and feeling...Well done and added to the theme...Blue
Things.

You present us a wonderful picture, very abstract and artistic as I like them. The colors are fabulous and the lighting is perfect.
I would hang it on my wall...

hi James, what a superb shot. I thought at first it was a small chunk of ice that you tinted blue. I had to look at the picture intensely to see the gigantic iceberg it must be. Impressive.

Hi James!
I like the idea of keeping a low exposure to have a black bacground! The torres del paine park is a wonderful place indeed! I was there a couple of years ago!
Thanks for sharing!!

Hello!
Nice natural ice sculpture.
Lovely shades of blue, and I like the texture of the ice from the wet melting to the drier higher up.
Fine composition.

Hi James, very great shot of this iceberg. It's the colour that does if for me. Well, that and the texture, and your timing was good all around to give us a great dark sky. Composition is great. Okay, it wasn't just the colour that did it for me.
Thanks, John

What a ephemerous shape, melting and changing. You never see the same ice. Interesting blues on a dark background. How much time we have to appreciate the old blues in the ice?

Hi James,
OK, now I fully understand you note. The resemblance with the rock shape is pretty close. Its funny to see that nature can create these similar shapes in a completely different part of the world. I like the wonderful blue color of the ice and the extreemly black BG. It must have been pretty difficult to expose this photo correctly.
TFS,

hello James,
Amazing and most beautiful picture. Even if this picture reminds us of a great ecological problem, I have to say that reading your note, I really would once visit this area. Patagonia always made me dream!
Thanks for this interesting posting
