[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Embalse El Yeso is a reservoir located in the Andes, in the Santiago Metropolitan Region, Chile. It is formed by the damming of Yeso River, part of Maipo River basin. The reservoir has a capacity of 250,000,000 m³.[3]

El Yeso reservoir, along with the nearby Laguna Negra, are a major source of drinking water for Santiago.

Its turquoise waters are suitable for fishing and windsurfing.

The picture was taken around 10:00 am. The sky was without clouds and with a beatiful sun, as you can see.

Wow! Amazing shot of a serene place! The blue waters of the lake with the reflections and the mountains on either side of it look great. makes me want to go to this place. Thanks for sharing.

You present us a splendid mountain scenery, one of the kind that makes me feel hiking there. The colours are superb, the lighting is perfect. Although it seems to be a rough and desertical place it's warm and inviting.
