Order (Orden): Hemiptera, Sub-Order: Heteroptera

All the insects in the Heteroptera suborder have a biting sucking apparatus in their mouths that they use to suck from plants or animals.

What a beautiful insect, Juan.
I don't think I have seen one quite like that.
The colors are rather unusual, very pretty markings as well.
Excellent focus and exposure.
Composition wise, I would try to not put the subject dead center.

Hola Juan,
Saludos cordiales
Hernán

Dear Juan,
I think you should have earned much more 'points' for your pictures as actually are listed. The picture of this bug is particularly excellent. The natural framing by the two fern leaves is 'unusual'. Your picture shows distinctive colours of the insect. Details are clearly visible.
