[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This shot was taken in Salamanca National Park, in Magdalena state, which is very close to Barranquilla city. That excursion was very interesting, for the mangroves, water plants, birds and a very different ecosystem. We traveled in a canoe and the steersman used a large pole to move it with his force, we were very quiet, with the purpose of hearing the natural noises and not to disturb the animals. In our country this place is considered as a sactuary of nature. I really recommend this place a lot.

Hello Mauricio,

Your composition is quite beautiful!
I just love how the trees, water and reflections all converge in the b/g of your shot!

Kind regards,
Bev :-)

I like all the angles of your composition leading into the scene. The image is just a bit overexposed. Does your camera have bracketing capability, histogram, or compensation capability? Can it show you if you are overexposed (blinkies) so you can make adjustments while you are still in the field?

very interesting, but mangroves grow on sea water and the waterlilies on fresh water. TFS Ori
