| This Shot was taken at La Quinta de San Pedro Alejandrino, where Simon Bolivar died. This is known in here as Atrapamoscas ganadero, the scientific name is Machetornis rixosus. It is easy to see it in open areas hunting little insects. The method used consists in runing very fast short distances on the soil to scare insects and stops suddenly when It detects any movements and then traps it. |

Very nice photo of this bird. I have seen it at la Laguna De Sonso Reserve near Cali.
