Fountainea nesea
this Charaxinae species inhabits cloud forest of Colombia above 1700m. Is distinguished of the nearest and comonner species Fountainea nessus by having more reddish ventral surface and two minute transparent marks in the forewing vein cells M3-CuA1 and CuA1-Cua2 (present in the photo individual). This species have typical hilltopping behaviour. |
