Perisama
Nearly 50 species of charming little butterflies exceeded in beauty only by the Callicore. They occur on both sides of the central cordillera in South America from Venezuela and Colombia to Bolivia at moderate elevations.

I like the full spreading wings of this butterfly. Very well exposed markings on the wings with fine sharp details. The hairy back and the compound eyes are amazingly sharp. Very nice framing in good perspective. Thanks for sharing and warmest regards.

Hola Carlos,
precise focus and excellent sharpness on the body and the wing bases of this beautiful Perisama.
Due to widely opened aperture forewing apex and hindwing margin are out of depth of field.
The left wing appears too dark so that the surface structure is not visible.
Is there another Perisama or Diaethria specimen seen in the upper right corner of the picture?
