Description: This butterfly is a female, this genus of butterflies are very active and special because the males make noise in flight, that is the reason why they are named crakers. Also they perch always with the head pointing to the floor, and choose a place that mimics very well with their color, as the case of this photo where the butterfly landed in a stone.

Place: San Jerónimo, Antioquia, Colombia.

Colombia has between 3.500 and 4.000 species of butterflies and holds the number one place in amount of species. They are my main interest now and I hope to share the good shots.
