| This photo was taken in the Ecuadorian cloudforest near Papallacta. There is a small fishing trail that follows the Rio Chalpi Grande up its valley. This fiddlehead (which was about four inches in diameter) was off the trail on a ridge well above the river. |

Hello Alice,
Lovely sharp image with lots of interesting detail, even to the raindrop! Good dof too! Perhaps a little over-exposed on the upper parts but still a fine shot!
Welcome to TrekNature! I hope you continue to post such fine shots!
Kind regards,
Bev :-)

Alice, Welcome to Treknature. Wonderful shot and nice details. The focus is very good but i would like to see little more sharpness and brightness. Tks Ganesh D: Later
Hi Alice, and welcome to the joys of TN!
Great shot, what a wonderful plant, looks almost like a multi-limbed alien curled up, or maybe I've just watched "Aliens" too many times!
Nice close composition, and the water droplet really adds to the shot.
TFS,
Doug
This is well composed. I like how the plant fills the frame. The drop of water at the bottom adds a nice touch as well. Good focus on the main subject, and the background blurring is nice. The stem in the foreground is a bit distracting, but still a good photo overall.
Thanks for sharing.
