Wonderful shot of the Rainbow-bearded Thornbill with such brilliant colour tones and sharp details on its plumage. The lighting is superb and you have captured a fantastic pose. It deserves to hold its head high. Excellent POV and the BG looks so beautiful. Very nicely composed. Kudos.

....But the eye is well focused and it centers the attention. Beautiful red crest that I had not seen before. I like the background that is a very good frame for the portrait.

A very beautiful capture Selen. You got the colours so right, Quite a short beak on this one.Never get bored of these little birds. Fascinating to watch and photograph! I would like to know how you set up to get this, or if you just saw it random and were lucky.I don;t mind the shallow DOF, because you have all the details needed for it. Looks great!

As I see in your gallery there are a lot of beautiful pictures from Ecuador. And this one is not an exception. Lovely portrait with great DOF and fantastic colours. When I look at pictures like this one, I really can not believe how such colourful species could evolve and how huge is diversity on the Earth...

Even though this is a bit soft in places this is a superb capture of a hovering hummingbird (Rainbow-bearded Thornbill). All the technical aspects are otherwise excellent, as is the BBG.
