[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I took this picture of the two sea lions on one of the smaller islands Rabida in the Galapagos Islands. In this island the sands are brick red in color. The sea lions here are playful and inquisitive. They are speedy and agile on land. They will swim along with you when you go snorkeling.

Sea Lions live in large Colonies. Adult males known as Bulls are the head of the Colony. Bulls grow to be up to 7 ft (2 m) in length and 800 lbs (363 kg). As males grow larger they fight to win dominance and for a territory including a Harem of between 5 and 25 Cows. Dominant Bulls will fight off any intruders entering the territory.

Hi Way
Wow, I can't believe how red the sand is, the sand must have a high iron content. These two Sea Lions look so relaxed sleeping on the beach. Excellent composition, framing and detail. A nice sharp image. Good note too.
