This is Chimborazo volcano, the highest summit of Ecuador. This volcano was seen as the highest Mountain on Earth for a long time. The mountain is very famous because of Alexander of Humboldt and many paintings of him with chimborazo.
We passed by Chimborazo in 2003. This is the view of our tents, a day before we clambered Carihuarazo.

You were right with the time of the day, got a marvelous light right over the top of the mountain, wich gives beauties color tones all over around.
Very good the POV and composition.
