Eighty-Eight Butterfly:

ENG: Number Eighty-Eight, Eighty-Eight Butterfly
ESP: Ochenta y ocho
LATIN: Diaethria clymena janeira (C.Felder 1862)

I meet a lot of this butterflies in central part of South America. I captured this one in south Paraguay in the mountains near to Independencia.
In Iguazu area (Argentina/Brazil/Paraguay) you can see also Number Eighty or EightyButterfly (Diaethria candrena candrena (Godart [1824]). It is amazing that nature made such great pattern on its wings...

i had read that the design on the wings of b-flies have letters from A to Z and nubers from 0 to 9.its really amazing.
