What an amazing specimen and species you managed to catch. Fantastic details and splendid colours of the insect. Pictured scene at whole is wonderful. Leaves as a stage for your character are looked greatly as well as smooth BG. Perfect job and thanks for sharing next your fine work (after pause).

Though I dare say that no-one on TN can give you the ID of this Peruvian grasshopper it is certainly striking in colours and pattern!
This is a fine sharp capture that makes it contrast well with the leafy BG and I understand your reason for this composition: to keep that fine cutve of the leaf intact.

This is an amazing grasshopper..You have recorded his wonderful markings and colours in perfect sharp detail..I really like the way your dof runs through the curve of the leaf with the lines leading into the super hopper.

Dang Selene...you nailed that one....neat colours...not quite as multi coloured as one Ram posted from India a few weeks back. that one looked almost unreal...this one looks very true to it's nature...not saying anything bad about the E Indian model..just that there is a distinct difference which you have shown us...or at least me...having taken the time to compare:-)

I am sorry i can not help with the ID of this Grasshopper and I have to say it makes our Grasshoppers in Brisbane look very bland compared to this, the colours are just stunning, excellent detail, well seen and captured, t.f.s

Lovely, very colourful and... cute grasspohher! Very nice and interesting macro. The only thing I would like to change is... to add so colourful grasshoppers to our fauna ;>
