Epipedobates trivitattus es un anfibio de la familia Dendrobatidae, muy común en la amazonía peruana. Esta especie, como muchas otras del grupo, tiene potentes toxinas en su piel para evitar a los depredadores. Aparentemente las toxinas derivan de los insectos de los que se alimentan, especialmente hormigas. Actualmente muchas investigaciones farmacológicas se vienen desarrollando con esas toxinas, pues contienen principios activos útiles como analgésicos y anti bacterianos.

Excellent capture! I like the curves running against each other, the one of the fern and the one of the frog arching its back, both forming a circle. Well done!

Looks like you were at the right place at the right time! The green may be a little over-saturated, but my eyes like it anyway. Very good shot.
