[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
An uncommon pelagic migrant to the Peruvian coast.. Its usual range is around islands of New Zealand... amazing birds. You have to go many miles out to sea to see them. This one was taken on a heavily clouded day on the high seas with my trusty Lumix, which was not working well (long delays before action) on the boat due to the cold that day. ... I was not functioning well either for that matter.

Hi Peter,
Well, inconclusive for me. The immatures are thought to frequent the Peruvian current, and from the bill color, were it to be a Parkinson's the color would be right (i.e. light rather than dark on the tip). However, this is just a real tough separation even with real good photos from the more probable aequinoctialis (for which sometimes the white chin is not evident even on good photos). One thing that might depone more for aequinoctialis is that the central rachides of the outermost primaries are whitish it appears to me. It would take someone more expert than I am on Seabirds.
