Bomarea Flower at Moray
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Any one have an ID on this? It was growing at the top of the ruins at Moray, so about 3500 meters! Late January of this year. Maybe a foot or two high.
I found out that it's a type of Bomarea which are related to the Alstroemeria. There are about 100 species found from Mexico into S. Chile. At least one has an edible root.
Any one know of a local name for it? |
