Hello Alex,
You were a very lucky guy to make a photo like this in the wild. And only a 400 mm lens. Most of the time, when you see a Condor, it's high above the mountains.
The quality is also very good. Great sharpness and detailed focus on the head. Good natural colours.

Brilliant! Did you have to crop this, because even at 400, with a 5D you'd have to be pretty close to get such a tight framing of the condor. Anyway, it's a great picture at eye level, and the detail is quality.
