[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
In the 'Pantanos de Villa (Villa Swamps) in the southern part of Lima, there are many birds that live all-year-round and others that are migratory. The place where I took this photo is some 20m away of the sea, and the swamps themself are surrounded in part by the shanty-towns of the city –so putting on them a little bit of stress.
Because I'm not a bird expert, I don't know which bird exactly this one is.
This picture took me a lot of work, because these type of bird all of the sudden began to run really fast on the water, waving there wings, and I have to pan their movements as they start to fly. As a proof of the speed, it is possible to see that behind the bird there are still 3 places of splashing water.
