Hello TN Friends,

Definitely in my area there are quite Lycaena. I just need a little sharpen the eye to detect species I have not seen before.

This I found about 1300 meters above sea level, on the hill "The Cup", belonging to the mid-Atlantic ridge. It lives in forests of ferns that form near the creeks.

Hope you like, I regret not being able to classify it.

The photo:

Taken day with clouds and high humidity, with medium wind, hand-held camera.

ISO 200
f/2.8
1/320s
Manual Focus, with AF security.

Thanks for visiting!

Hi Jesus,i try to find the name but whitout results, very beautiful specie of this family, excellent pic whit a top quality of sharpness and colors,my best compliments, have a nice Sunday,LUCIANO

Como siempre un buen e interesante trabajo. Siento no poder identificártela.

Tropical regions of the world are so rich in insects that books on them are hard to produce. Even a special group takes many years of research in a small area to cover that type of insect life.
It is therefore not surprising that we cannot give ID's to your fine Lycaenid shots like this one.
This one has camouflage colours but despite that, this is a sharp well composed capture against a good contrasting BG that shows it up well.
I have a book on Trinidad butterflies, but I don't think this species is in it.
Thanks and best regards,
Ivan

Hi and Good Morning MF Jesus,

Utterly amazing close-up! Great use of the DOF. The details are so precise and impressive. An inspiring shot my friend.
TFS and have a nice Sunday!
Cheers,

Bayram

Hello Jesus,
Another finely focussed shot, with excellent details. I think a member of the Lycaenid Hairstreak genus Ocaria. Thanks.
Alan

With all those disturbances in the BG , you picture still stands out for its details on the butterfly. I liked the position of the butterfly with directional space and the colors
