A nice (very striking) flea beetle. Called "flea" because they have the capacity to make small jumps, this is possible thanks to the development of their hind legs.
I had the opportunity to photograph this bug, realizing that it was immersed in a small creek in the mountains of Yaracuy state, more than 1500 meters above sea level.
This insect is slowly making a great effort, could leave the small stream, reach the shore and go up the small branch where I could photograph it.
The intention of the two pictures is to translate the time at which the beetle got its wings to dry, after his unfortunate and unintended dip!
Taxonomic found some details:
Kingdom Animalia (Animals)
Phylum Arthropoda (Arthropods)
Class Insecta (Insects)
Order Coleoptera (Beetles)
Suborder Polyphaga (Water, Rove, Scarab, Longhorn, Leaf and Snout Beetles)
Superfamily Chrysomeloidea (Long-horned and Leaf Beetles)
Family Chrysomelidae (Leaf Beetles)
Subfamily Galerucinae (Skeletonizing leaf beetles)
Tribe Alticini (Flea Beetles)
Genus Asphaera
Species lustrans (Shining Flea Beetle)

Hola Jesús,
A fine double macro of a species of Chrysomelid beetle that is new to me, both are taken from a fine POV with great sharpness and lighting against a good OOF natural BG.

Ivan
