These small moths, often go unnoticed in urban gardens. But for planting cabbage and cabbage are potentially dangerous, because their larvae become real pests, attacking the tissues of leaves, stems and flowers in the development process.

Spanish: Plutella, Palomilla Diamond Back (DDM), Rasquin
English: Diamondback moth (DBM)
Scientific name:

Plutella xylostella (= maculipennis) (Curtis)
(Lepidoptera: Plutellidae or Yponomeutidae)
Geographic Distribution:

DDM is distributed throughout the world. This pest is most important in the lowlands in the tropics and subtropics. DDM in temperate areas can not survive the winter. DDM colonises crucifer producing regions at the end of the growing season or by transplanting seedlings that come from subtropical regions.

A marvelous capture of this pair of tiny moths on the leaf. You have mastered your camera and manage to bring out all the details no matter how small the subject is. Wonderful colors showing off so well against the background.

A very nice macro of a pair of Plutella xylostella in copulo. Excellent POV, sharpness, lighting and composition.
This species is new to me and most probably new on TN.
