I hope that this attempt to make a macro for those who succeed with more advanced cameras, at least can be classified as "regular." I love those macros that are very close detail of the insect, and that characteristic will be used almost like a magnifying glass. This is quite a humble attempt, because I recognize the limitations of my compact camera. However, closing the f/stop little (to 3.2) and down 1/100s (thank God my good pulse) can shoot it spread wings skipper (genus Staphylus, i think) entertaining breakfast on a flower.

And the fact that a skipper stay put, when I almost hit the lens on their dishes, I feel pretty lucky!

Hola Jesús,
A very fine close macro of this Skipper showing details of the head, thorax and inner part of the wings with excellent sharpness and detail in a pleasing composition on the yellow flower.

Wow, Jesus, this is really great post! Your macro is superb. This shot proves that most important is photographer, not camera. Bit of luck and lots of skill. Very close, extremally detailed and sharp. And well composed. Excellent work.
