Hello TN People!

The last day Saturday was the first time that could observe this lycaenida, the individual of the picture was the only one between dozens of butterflies of the type lycaenidade that swarmed in the blooms of the municipal park close to my house.

Is a very untroubled butterfly; almost happens me to him unseen, then it flies far less that his relatives that had already photographed. What but it called me the attention was the complex thing of the design of the wings, that seems to lose continuity in some areas. Until arrived to think that was a type of mutation, he but is not thus; it is a defined species.

Yesterday invested most of the day in classifying to this poky butterfly and I could determine (based on pictures) that the species is Strymon mulucha.

I believe that is the first time that is published in TN (first in TN?)... if is thus, that good!, if not; at least is about 1st for my!...

I expect that this lycaenida is of please the of all which feel passion for this type of butterflies.

Excellent composition, DOF, clarity of detail... just a well captured and presented image.

Óla Jesús,

Lovely macro shot of this beautiful butterfly! The flower drastically enhances the charm of the picture. The sharpness and POV are very well constrained and the DOF is perfectly fine.
The colors of the butrterfly are very natural and they give great contrast to the yellow flower as well as to the blurry green BG. The eyes and antennae of the butterfly are nicely shown.

The sharpness, POV, composition on the yellow flower and BG all contribute to an excellent image of this species of Lycaenid butterfly.

El traductor me ayudó a entender tus letras en Inglés jeje. Como siempre sorprende una nueva especie; el mundo de los insectos parece no tener fin y cada dia nos sorprendemos de nuevas formas, colores, mutaciones... yo me lo paso bien con todo esto.
Esta que nos presentas desde luego que no la conocía pero la forma es típica de algunas de su género, no así los colores que me recuerdan a algún otro.
Técnicamente bien captada, tanto colores como detalles.
Interesante aportacion a Tn si es que no estaba.

Una pregunta Jesús: sabes si se puede acceder de alguna manera a nombre de las especies publicadas en Tk ??

again, an interesting species which is presented in an excellent way.
Point of view is well selected with respect to the butterfly but perhaps you could have avoided
the white and red-brown background elements by choosing a lower angle. This would have further
increased the attractivity of the picture.

Excelente toma de esta mariposa a la vez que interesante la explicción y el ID que acompañas. He tomado nota de los dos enlaces que pones de mariposas mexicanas y americanas. Es tanta la diversiad de estos insectos que se hace dificil identificar aquellas que uno captura con su cámara. La mayoria de veces me pierdo buscando y comparando y siempre me quedo con la duda de haber acertado.
Asi que he decidido publicar las fotos de los insectos que capturo y los más doctos ya me informareis, jejeje
Hacer fotos, escoger las mejores tomas, editarlas, comentar las propias y las de los demás compañeros para mi ya es suficiente tranbajo.

Agradeezco mucho tus observaciones y comentarios de mis fotos. Siempre resulta interesante, provechoso y confortante.
