Hi Jesus. Different they are i not to sure about ugly . I have never seen anything like this with the large eyes. You have taken them with sharp focusing and fine detail. Along with natural colours. Good use of the flash in this one. They stand out well from the plain BG. I look foward to the others this week from you. Well done TFS.

This is amazing picture of amazing flies! Wonderful details and very special climat of photo. I especially like dark colours (picture is dramatic even if it presents mating behaviour not any dramatic moment ;>).

Ugly? They are far from ugly in this wonderful macro. Those huge eyes are beautiful. Of course I have no idea what they may be but they are fascinating to look at. You captured a fine moment with wonderful colors and fantastic details. The background is perfect for this pair.

Poco que decir... y mucho que observar y aprender. Gran belleza en los colores por lo bien que los capturaste con esa soberbia luz. Una foto "extra" para los que aqui publicamos, llena de delicadeza a pesar de lo feos que nos dicen que son.
Aquí en España la mosca de la fruta es Ceratitis capitata en el melocotonero, Dacus oleae en olivo y en cerezo otra de la que no recuerdo ahora; lo se porque me dedico a los insumos :-)
