Hi Jesus, Now i am not to sure which one gets my vote i shall wait till i have see all of them. I must say this is an unusual one. But taken with a good top view looking down onto the insect. good detail and rich colours. Well done TFS.

Hola Jesus,

I imagine its mate thinks it quite handsome!
Whatever the opinion on its looks, you have captured them clearly, revealing many details of its body, legs and feathery antennae.
I like the pov which turns the flower into a pretty, star-like perch, for the sharply focussd insect.

The picture is really nice, sharp and with nice composition. BUt I do not agree with ID - this is not Tipulidae but Culicidae fly. Moreover its is a male (note characteristic antennae) - most probably a female is blod-sucker (so still ugly ;>).

Hola Jesus,

Ugly, again? Not ugly but quite fascinating. This insect just fits on the flower and shows up beautifully against the yellow. An excellent macro with fine details. The green background is perfect.

Hello Jesús,
A superb macro of this Tipulid/Chironomid fly. The feathered antennae tell me that this is a male of the species. Technically this is excellent with fine sharpness, colours and DOF that should enable an expert dipterist ID it.
