This is the Whistling Heron (Syrigma sibilatrix), in Brazil "Maria-Faceira". It isn't easy bird to find here, but I have seem some recently. Difficult to spot on, even more difficult to shot on... I was trying to get close when she left.
It feeds on grasshoppers, frogs, other insects...
It is one of the most beautiful herons, donīt you think?
