The macro feature on my PowerShot s230 is often a hit and miss affair.
This is one of the better results from my camera.
Editing invloved sharpening, a little crop to centre the insect and some colour stauration to enhance the difference between the insect and the earth.
Taken in the Cerro Cora National Park (Paraguay), the soil is still wet from a torrential downpour from the storm in this photo. |

What a strange and long insect... I think it's very impressing with this red background... TFS...Ina...
Interesting to see this insect on the ground! I think he is not too happy about being spattered with mud. Very nice colour, good angle--you must have been down in the mud too! Well done!
