Hello Selen,
This in-flight of a White-bellied Woodstar is superb with just the right focusing and sharpness on the head and belly, while the tail and wing movements are suitably blurred. Great use of flash and the green bokeh BG sets it off nicely.

Very good Selen.
I am wondering about your exposure time.So using a flash I imagine you got the wing stoppage, and perfect focus, instead of a very fast shutter speed.???
I've tried this before, and it has not worked well.
This impresses me.
I also like the look of this species.

Una foto muy hermosa de este "Colibri" La imagen es de mucha nitidez por lo que se aprecian finos detalles en la pequeña ave, que por cierto son unas de mis preferidas, aunque constantemente pelean entre si quiza por alguna bella dama.

Outstanding shot of this great looking Hummingbird in flight and you have captured it with great timing and skill. Superbly done with good use of flash lighting and a precise DOF isolates it from the BG perfectly. Excellent POV and very nicely composed. Kudos.

Hi Selen

What always intrigues me the most of in-flight hover shots of hummingbirds or sunbirds is that stern expression of absolute focus and concentration they all tend to have. Just look at this little one, it is all just deliberate attention. Maybe it is simply a fact because birds cannot really show any expression or emotion on their faces.

Anyway, this is a great capture with exceptional details for the daunting task. The compositional dimensions that almost represent a panorama shot worked well for this photo. The totally OOF area in the BG had a fabulous result to compliment and make the little bird stand out.

I don't know how you pulled this one off at 1/60th..The wings are nearly invisible at that s-speed..Makes em' look really fast..
