Unretrato impresionante de esa carucha. Un bicharraco realmente monstruoso en tamaño, lo que te ayudó mucho para hacer este muy buen "retrato" (como para un cuadrito en la casa).
cuando era chico le tenía fobia a estos insectos, pero ahora solomun poco de asco, aunque sean inofensivos. Aquí ahora están casi extinguidos por el uso de pesticidas en los campos, si no seían flor de plaga.

Una macro de las muy buenas como documento entomologico nitida bien cortada en un angulo demostrativo del orthoptero.Parece ser suborden caelifera-superfamilia acridoidea-familia acridae.Mas seria arriesgado con mi conocimiento empirico, pero me arriesgaria a decir probable: sub familia Romalinae por el rostro vertical (de perfil)y parece verse en el prosterno entre las patas anteriores el tuberculo que seria clasificador (otras sub familias tienen una lamina).Hay que preguntar a Osmeterius que conoce el tema...FELICITACIONES!!!!

Pues a mi me gusta mucho, creo que el cambio de monitor va a tener muy buenos resultados para mi gusto personal...

Hi Ricardo

If you came any closer to this guy you would have either blinded it because you poked your lens into its eye or it would have scratched your lens with those bristles which covers its entire body. Wow, talk about in-your-face.

Great macro and a good lesson that close is never close enough. The tight crop worked excellent for this composition. The colours are splendid, the details are exquisite, the DOF is perfect, the BG is totally OOF (who would have expected anything else at this proximity), and the exposure was masterfully controlled especially if one consider the shiny surface of this insect.

Superior work my friend and TFS.

Beautiful exposure despite difficult light condition. Perfect use of the light: all those hair in white while the head was nowhere overexposed. Brilliant.
